Creeping on Wrong side of History

 Even with the rise of White Supremacy and Oath-keepers, anti-government and hate groups inside the United States today, they failed to give a second look at the "de-nazification of Ukraine"  claim that Russia pursued in Ukraine. 

The reason why World War II happened in the first place is being ignored and by this I mean that the rise of Hitler it did not happen overnight. When it came to light and action had to be taken this is when nations as well as  others were looking for clues - hindsight even today looking at what point that Hitler could be stopped.  

Today there are those who are still denying that the Holocaust happened.  In the United States there are individuals who are exercising their rights and form whatever group they see fit and are openly in support of "Hitler", though they were not even conceived yet during his reign and the events which followed.  The million dollar question is, What would make the United States and the NATO allies think that there are not Hitler supporters in Europe today?  In Ukraine today?  Neo-nazi was out there in Europe which was a precursor to World War II - did Neo-Nazi simply disappear or melt away? 

The Soviet Union was on the side of Germany and supported Hitler in some fashion until they had to turn, join the allies to defeat Hitler.  Following this the United States and  the Soviet Union (USSR) two world super powers began their arms race and their continuous spat. History will tell us that the rest of the nations, who became poorer, who became weaker(militarily) decided to take a step back and decided against a hegemon in Europe.  The arms race ensued where the USA built and detonated the first nuclear weapon, the Soviet Union(USSR) built and detonated theirs a few years later. This continued with all other secret weapons, technology and tactics which brought them to space. 

Now in the 1950s the USSR pursued hypersonic weapons,  the USA did not, USSR shelved it and did not commercialize it. The USSR pursued electronic warfare techniques - mind control etc, the USA looking at the USSR and tit for tat.   The end of the cold war came the USSR dismantled, Great Britain got smaller(colonies became independent), France likewise. The African continent small independent nations are born. The Soviet Union becomes Russia(smaller) but still, the USA and Russia are maintaining their world super power fight.  The USA is still of the view that it does not want Russian ideology (communism) to expand. The USA continued wars elsewhere - Hitler (NEO Nazi party) was done. Refocus on Russia. China grew.

The end of the cold war - Ukraine is born. Neo Nazi Hitler in Germany gone - no longer an issue (HITLER - dead and gone).  With the United States, white supremacy in the 50s and 60s still have remnants of them today.  The race issue in the United States is still an issue even today with newer groups sprouting up. 

With Ukraine which is in Europe and we are aware that the Neo-nazi was out there with the Holocaust in our memory - which some of us have forgotten. Forgotten because the thought of Russia today claiming to want to de-nazify Ukraine as we can see in the article published on March 30, 2022 on time.com by  OLIVIA B. WAXMAN .  What is forgotten is that Hitler and Neo Nazi did not surface in one day.  According to  Jason Stanley, Yale University professor and author,  the allies "...replaced Nazi ideology in all the major institutions [with] people who were untainted by Nazism— or this is what they tried to do. They replaced them with leaders who are loyal to democracy, and they replaced Nazi ideology with democratic practices.”  In the United States we can see Nazi supporters or those who idolize Hitler are supporting politicians and  they themselves are positioning themselves and followers to pursue public office.  

Omer Bartov, a Brown University professor and author in the same time.com article went on to state: "After the Allies occupied Germany, they did investigate some former members of the Nazi party to make sure they didn’t maintain Nazi loyalties. But many slipped through the cracks. It was a flawed process used by the Allies occupying Germany that generally applied to the small fry and left the big fish off the hook." 

We can see how Russia's current claim can be validated with investigation into what is going on in the Ukrainian National Guard. Did professor Stanley from Yale read the aljazeera.com article from 2014 by  Sabra Ayres  about the AZOV Batallion which is recognized by the Ukrainian Interior Ministry? In the article it is stated that "While the battalion is recognized by the Interior Ministry and provided with some arms, it is largely funded by charity from Ukrainians, wealthy businessmen, the Ukrainian diaspora and other European  far-right groups." The article went on to state that "Its ideological alignment with other far-right, social-nationalist groups has attracted volunteers from Sweden, Italy, France, Canada and Russia."

In the words of one of the foreign far-right volunteers who came from Canada, "We actually have two enemies now, the EU on one side and the Russian Federation on the other. But first, we need to deal with the separatists.” 

The times.com article went on,  "The current Ukrainian government is not a fascist dictatorship or in any way associated with the Nazi past."

Even with this from the times.com article,  "Zelensky is also Jewish. His grandfather fought in the Soviet Army against the Nazis, and his family lost relatives in the Holocaust" one would think that the  AZOV would be of concern to the new inexperienced President of Ukraine, Zelensky. 

The AZOV as we are well aware are not pro-west/European Union are not Pro-Russia either and in the words of one of the AZOV military volunteers "first, we need to deal with the separatists"

We can see in the NBC.com article written by Allan Ripp, published on March 5, 2022 titled Ukraine's Nazi problem is real, even if Putin's 'denazification' claim isn't': Not acknowledging this threat means that little is being done to guard against it." Also the article continued: 

    

 By the end, more than half would perish. When German troops took control of  Kyiv in 1941, they were welcomed by “Heil Hitler” banners. Soon after, nearly 34,000 Jews — along with Roma and other “undesirables” — were rounded up and marched to fields outside the city on the pretext of resettlement only to be massacred in what became known as the “Holocaust by bullets.”

The fact that the article continued to point out that the President of Ukraine Zelensky recognized that there was an uptick in violence and antisemitism in Kyiv in Ukraine today- which was part of the USSR then- the same one in 1941 where following the marching into the city when Hitler broke the pact  with the Soviet Union which involved not meddling in each others military affairs and the massacre of the Jews, Roma  and minorities which followed. The USSR then joined World War II- the result was an update of the antisemitism law was passed in February 2022 per the article.

In the nbc.com article it is also stated that "neo-Nazis are part of some of Ukraine’s growing ranks of volunteer battalions" and that "One is the Azov Battalion, founded by an avowed white supremacist who claimed Ukraine’s national purpose was to rid the country of Jews and other inferior races." The article went on to state that "Azov is now an official member of the Ukraine National Guard."  The National Guard of Ukraine is under the supervision of the Interior Ministry headed by a member of the Servant of the People- Dennys Monastyrsky replacing  Arsen Avakov. 

Concerning the AZOV which is recognized by the Interior Ministry, we also see other hate groups in Ukraine and abuse of minorities similar to events following the marching into Kyiv by the Germans as written in article in nbc.com.  

Even today with the media or tweet from AZOV commander in Mariupol, Ukraine where the women, children and the elderly are in the steel factory and the AZOV have run out of weapons and the request by the Russians to surrender.  What do they do?  Instead of surrendering they remain  on the same compound with the individuals and requesting for weapons - the USA is providing weapons to Ukraine to fight the Russians and we know per the article that the USA had refused aid to AZOV back in 2018.  The Azov which we see a warning was issued in the rferl.org in the article published January 30, 2018.  The group is now officially accepted by the Ukraine government.

In today's world with the holocaust as well as the Kyiv Holocaust by Bullets of 1941  one can see why embracing the AZOV having them officially become a part of the Interior Ministry/Government of Ukraine is downright wrong on all different levels.  The information concerning the Human Rights abuses which were taking place in Ukraine even by these NAZI groups and hate groups to minorities.  Even with Germany still fighting NAZIs as late as April 6, 2022 instituting 4 arrests in their continued aim to rid their country out of NEO NAZI - they are joining NATO allies and requesting for more aid to Ukraine in the form of weapons to assist their military which has OFFICIALLY recognized or made a part of the National Guard the AZOV.

What we are witnessing is the creation of a SAFE HAVEN for NAZIS and boosting their ARMY - International Legion that Ukraine built who knows how many of these individuals are there?  Based on what is going on one can say that "when the dust is settled we all should be hoping that NATO and the allies and the UNITED STATES were not PLAYED and go down in history  as being on the WRONG SIDE this time around.
